Pastor
Oliver and his wife Gayle have served at Jones Chapel (aka 1st Church of God in Christ)
since 1985. They have worked faithfully in many areas of the church. Their devotion to the
work of the ministry has been a true blessing to countless others in Oklahoma, throughout
the U.S. and abroad.
Pastor
Gilbert Oliver is an educator who currently serves as the principal of Rockwood Elementary
School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is a military veteran, having served in the U.S. Air
Force for nearly twenty-two (22) years. Pastor Oliver has an earned doctorate degree in
Christian Counseling from the American Christian College and Seminary.
First Lady Gayle
Oliver's skill as a supervisor and trainer is evident as she guides and teaches the
church's teenaged youth, modeling for them the attributes of a saved life. Sister Oliver's
compassion for humanity constrains her to work with the church's Benevolence
Committee, Hospitality Committee and Food Pantry. Both she and pastor Oliver count it the
greatest honor to serve the people of God, everywhere.
